The Rev. Roger L. Foote, Rector, a cradle Episcopalian, was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended Walnut Hills High School. Following graduation from the University of Cincinnati he spent six years working for the Cincinnati and Hamilton County YMCA as a program director. Graduating from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1981, he served churches in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and Alexandria, Virginia before coming to Christ Church in 1991. He is married to Ruth Steinert, a medical technologist and meeting planner. Ruth also heads up the bereavement ministry at Bellarmine Chapel where she has been a member for over 30 years. The Rev. Laura L. Chace, Deacon, came to Christ Church Glendale in August 2002. Laura is a life-long resident of Cincinnati and the suburb of College Hill. She received her B.A. from the University of Cincinnati, her M.L.S. from the University of Michigan and a certificate in Archival Administration from the National Archives. Often, the ministry of a deacon is described as a bridge between the world and the church. Laura began her career as a librarian at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County and is now at the Cincinnati Historical Society Library at Cincinnati Museum Center. After graduating from the Anglican Academy’s School for the Diaconate, Laura was ordained a permanent deacon on October 24, 1998. She began her ministry at Grace Church, College Hill. Laura's ministry at Christ Church mirrors her vocations in the church and in the world. Bryan Mock has been the Organist-Director of Music at Christ Church Glendale since 1983. Since that time he has developed a comprehensive music ministry that involves many volunteer musicians in four choirs. He earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Western Michigan University, and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Joe Snavely is a Cincinnati native who has been serving Christ Church as Director of Christian Formation since August of 2005. Joe has a passion for sharing the Gospel with young people, and a special interest in helping people of all ages find paths of authentic discipleship. He holds a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies from Regis University in Denver, and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Youth Ministry from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest. Joe is married to Sharon (his high school sweetheart). They have two boys, John and Joey, and are expecting a third child (it's a girl!) in April 2010. He is a big fan of the Simpsons, British sit-coms, LaRosa's pizza, and believes wholeheartedly in the deep spiritual benefits of “hanging out.”Contact Joe at joe.snavely@christchurchglendale.org

Nancy Melville, Parish Secretary since 1988, attends Ascension & Holy Trinity in Wyoming where she sings in the choir and has been a church school teacher, President of ECW, vestryperson, and Senior Warden. Her daughter, Corey, lives in Norwood, and her stepsons, Brian and Scott, live in Alabama.
