Eucharistic Ministers are licensed by the Diocese to administer the chalice at any celebration of the Holy Eucharist when there is an insufficient number of priests or deacons to do so. Eucharistic Ministers at Christ Church Glendale also read the Prayers of the People. Eucharistic Ministers receive training for this service, and are licensed by the Diocesan Bishop, on recommendation of the Rector.
