Rooted in the Episcopal tradition, Christ Church Glendale offers an active, welcoming worship home for families and individuals throughout Forest Park, Hamilton County, and the greater Cincinnati area. Whether you feel called to assist at the altar, welcome visitors at the door, read scripture, or care for our sacred spaces, our worship ministries provide meaningful ways to serve God and our community. All are welcome, and full training is provided for every role.
Worship Ministries &
Volunteer Opportunities
Choir & Music Ministry
Our music ministry plays an essential role in worship by leading congregational song and offering choral anthems tailored to the liturgical season. Rehearsing in our dedicated Music Suite, our musicians support everything from weekly Eucharist to seasonal celebrations and youth summer music programs.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a quiet, sacred ministry of hospitality and devotion at Christ Church Glendale. Working behind the scenes, guild members care for the sanctuary, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, and the sacred vessels so that our congregation and clergy can worship in beauty and reverence. Serving on the Altar Guild is a hands-on way to praise God and care for our historic church home.
Acolytes
Acolytes play an essential, visible role in Christ Church Glendale's liturgical life. Wearing traditional robes (vestments), acolytes assist the clergy, lead the congregation in prayerful movement, and bring reverent energy to our worship. Serving as an acolyte is a hands-on way for youth and adults to actively participate in Sunday services, feast days, and special celebrations.
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers play a vital, reverent role at Christ Church Glendale by administering the wine during Holy Eucharist and bringing communion to members who cannot be with us in person. If you are drawn to quiet, meaningful service at the altar and in pastoral outreach, we welcome your gifts.
Lectors & Scripture Readers
Whether you have read scripture for years or feel called to step up to the lectern for the first time, we welcome your voice. We provide all the readings in advance along with guidance to help you feel confident.
Eucharistic Visitors
Extend the altar beyond our walls. Licensed Eucharistic Visitors bring consecrated communion, scripture, and connection to parishioners unable to attend Sunday worship in person due to illness or mobility challenges.
Support Our Worship Ministries
Even if you can’t serve in person, your generosity helps provide communion supplies, care for our sacred vestments, and sustain our worship life.
When you give, you invest in progress, compassion, and a better world for everyone.
